Privacy, in plain words.
Noosphere is a public studio journal. Reading the journal does not require a profile.
Your account
You create an account with your email, a password, and a display name. We store your email and a salted password hash to check your login. We do not store your password in plain text. Your email stays private and is not a public identity badge. Administrator access is assigned separately by the studio.
What we keep
We store your display name, optional bio, posts, replies, reactions, and creation times in the site database. Posts, replies, and display names are public. Your email is not displayed in the community. Short-lived request counters based on hashed account and network identifiers protect the service from spam and repeated login attempts.
Hosting and retention
The site uses OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare infrastructure. Their services may process technical logs. A necessary, secure cookie keeps you signed in for up to seven days. We store a hash of the session token in the database. Logging out revokes that session. We have not added advertising trackers or analytics cookies. Community content stays stored until removed by the studio; hidden content may remain available to the administrator for recovery.
Profile and content requests
You can change your display name and bio on your profile. For removal of community content, contact Noosphere through a reply to a studio post and identify the relevant content without publishing private information.
